Default Skysport 4 testing info and data

Futaba skysport 4 tx and Rx testing info needed please.

I have in my care a tv4f tx, fp-R115F Rx and S3003 servos.

I was told the system used to work but it now seems dead.

I have a supposedly matched pair of crystal.

I replaced some wires in the tx that had "black wire corrosion" and did some continuity checks and voltage checks.

The tx meter works and the carrier wave was spot on to the tx crystal according to my scope. No "indication" on the carrier wave seem when the sticks are moved.

The servos "glitch/centre" when they are connected to the Rx and powered up, but no movement of servo arms when sticks are moved. Continuity checks made on Rx aerial wire and unit seems to power up.

Please could someone advise on tx and Rx test info/data please ?

I do not have similar tx/Rx to rest by substitution. The tx had a buddy box lead port on the back, please could someone provide pin out and function of this port so the scope can "see" any output please.

All info greatly appreciated please as I would like to get this system working.

Thanks in advance

I suggest contacting Ripmax to get more info or send it to them for service.

My experiences with Ripmax UK is not good. They cannot even supply an on/off switch for a challenger tx, but I will try them again. I will not hold my breath..

Thanks Futaba RC,

I emailed Ripmax Futaba UK and had a wonderfully response from Jim. He has very kindly supplied some procedures and schematics which are really going to help to get this system up and running again. He has even offered help with the on/off switch for the challenger tx set !

I cannot thanks Jim enough for his help. True customer service.

Thanks Jim, truelly.
