What fuel dots you use. Something reliable not to get air into the UAT tank.
What Fuel Vent Line Plug to vent the tank?
Please give some links ***winter***

I never used fuel dots on any jets, just another thing that can fail, and on start you should have access to the mechanical shutoff so the canopy pretty has to be open.....

Vent choose a height flow and go with the same on all jet that way you don’t need adapter for the rest of the jets yes you will end up with more then one.....I used dreamworks high flow on all mine...

I use all different kinds of fuel dots on all my jets. Never a single bubble of air from any of them. Just use the proper size fill line for the dot. The fill line doesn't have to be large high flow.

+1 on the Jersey Modeler Dry Connectors, have used them on many jets over many years, never had a problem.

To be clear, I'm thinking of fuel plugs which I've always called fuel dots and not the machined pieces that mount to the side of the fuselage.

Jersey modeler allows you the option of a bezel
mount or clip that you can mount inside the jet. I have used both and they are great. Unparalleled customer service

Well I do used something to closed the filling tube....but that’s not the definition of a fuel dot...like gas plane...in the side of the fuselage, perhaps I got it wrong...but I know I don’t used fuel dots LOL

Hi guys, is there anything to watch out for when setting up the TX - GSU/ECU Turbines?
How do you set Turbine Restart Mode: Off, Restart or Glider?
TX I have a JETI DS-24. ***winter***

It’s all done in the GSU, just need to connect the ECU to the RX and the GSU to the ECU to do the setup

I turn the restart off. If there is a flameout, I plan on landing it deadstick and I do not want it trying to restart when it is on the ground, possibly causing a fire.

On sport jets that can fly a little while with engine off I have turned it on. On scale jets that glide like a shoe I turn it off since it wont matter anyway. It will be a deadstick and on the ground before it restarts.

You need to keep in mind though that its on and if you do land off runway then you need to trim down right away or you risk catching grass on fire.

I agree with Gun. I've seen guys which appeared to have a setup problem continually restarting in a loop. I don't know him personally but possibly air getting into the fuel system. He landed deadstick far from the flight station. The turbine restarted, then as he tried to turn the jet around it flamed-out again. It restarted and it flamed out again and so on. He did this like three or four times until someone told him to shut it off and walk it back. It was kind of silly to watch actually, and possibly dangerous to Gun's point.

I recently swapped out my nose gear strut for this strut from Electron. The strut I was using was the strut that came with the original air retracts in my T1. The problem with the old strut was that the oleo was too stiff, which almost always resulted in a broken nose gear pin if I got off into the grass on landing. This strut, however, is too soft, which causes the nose to dip down slightly just setting there on the asphalt. I reached out the Greg Alderman (USA Electron Rep) to find out if Electron has stronger/stiffer springs for these oleo struts, and he confirmed that they do. While waiting for the new springs to arrive Greg suggested using something to preload the spring such that the oleo would be a little stiffer. I found one of these 5mm stainless steel cap bolts laying around my shop and it's a perfect fit! I was able to grind 1-2mm off the top of the bolt until I got just the tension I needed, put it back together and reinstalled the strut, and the aircraft now sits level. The oleo still seems to have full deflection so I'm thinking this will work well. I have not flown it yet, so more to follow.
Note: I ordered this strut separate from the Electron Retracts so I'm not sure if this is the strut that Electron sells in the set specifically for the T1 or not. What I can tell you is that it is a perfect fit in the wheel well when retracted. - Tom

Okay, guys.
I thought the safest mode would be - restart OFF. Thank you for recommending / confirming my consideration.
I already have a gas station from Dean Kraus / JM. Very nice, it looks reliable.
I also have most accessories for my T-1 Fortune .. *** winter ***

WOW!! That is the cleanest pre-install setup I've ever seen!!! The T1 is an easy build as there is lots of room to work with. PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK THE PINCH CLAMPS THAT SECURE THE WINGS AND HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL STABS!!!!!!!!!!! That last sentence is all in caps to bring attention to your build. Make sure all those bolts that hold the pinch clamps are secure. I took every one of them out and put lock-tite on them. Welcome to the T1 build!!

Yes ESPECIALLY the Vertical Stab clamp! It is never locktited (The screws that secure the clamp to the Fuse)

Thanks for your knowledge. If necessary, I know how to solve it quickly and easily. ***winter***

Hi Dansy, you use KingTech LiFe 3S 2100 batteries to power the turbine electronics. / Discussion Post # 1879 /
How many flights will last a full charge? What is the time of one flight? ***winter***

The average battery usage is around 350 mah per flight, check the engine manual under ECU battery for that info.

I use a 4K mah batt from Value Hobbies mainly because it helps balance the jets.

I have registered this information. Sometimes the practice is a bit different. ***winter***

I can get 6 flight easy....which is pretty much the max I do at events....and still plenty left....on a 2100, some of my jet I used 3800 for the weight....
