Check the stabilization menu. I suspect the Fail safe setting in that menu is set to "Intelligent" which I believe will continue stabilization on loss of signal. I think with a CB200 it would need to be set to "Assist Off". Not sure if that is enough to solve your problem since I don't have an Assist to test against, I just skimmed the manual. I suspect you you also need to turn regular fail safe off in the Assist as it should only be enabled in the CB200. Hope this will help.

Well, I got faked out today. Received an email today informing me the Jeti assist receivers were in stock at Esprit only to find out I can't get one until they pass FCC certification for the U.S/Canada. Any idea when that is going to happen?

How would you set them up with dual rx on CB200m. Use 2 R7s or 1 R7 and an R3?

Assuming we're talking about an REX7 Assist as opposed to a regular R7 either way will work. Since Rx2 connected to a Central Box will never be used unless Rx1 has almost completely failed I think a regular old R3 for Rx2 is fine. Another option is to connect the REX7A to RX1 and then connect the R3 directly to the REX7A via a PPM link. I believe this configuration will actually provide better antenna diversity and you shouldn't lose stabilization if the secondary receiver actual is put into use.

if you want one right now just get it from across the pond, you will probably pay a little more but its available.

Availability is not the issue. They have not been approved by the FCC to be utilized in the U.S./Canada.

While that's true, it's not like the FCC will kick your door in if you use one. If a US dealer was selling them that may be a different story but I seriously doubt the FCC is interested in chasing end users.

Hi guys,

just received my DS24 with rex7A Rx. Plan to test this out in a foamy. I am new to Jeti, and obviously missing something here.
I have done the basic setup, ATV, subtrim ect. For the gyro setup the manual asks to get into device explorer which shows me the Rex 7A with a tick, when I click on it it shows ERROR Device not recognised. REX7A.bin, line 1.

what am I missing?

Thanks Chatty.

I have tried 2 different Rex7A Rx and both give me the same error. So I guess some changes need to be made in the Tx.
Tx is version 4.24.

Just reinstall 4.24 from Jeti.com site....and all will be good, they seem to update the latest software with all the bin’s, after the release.

FCC/IC testing already started, we are trying to certify receivers as class A, that's addition to the existing Jeti REX receivers.
If that's successful (will know Monday) we should be done with certification in matter of few weeks.

All devices need to have correct .BIN files, always check the transmitter Device Folder

Class A?
Why not class B? Easier limits?

Hello all,

Does somebody tried REX Assist with CB200 ?

Here is my setup :
TX in Double Path mode
CB200 - V1.27
RX1 : REX6Assist in EX Bus mode - Failasfe disabled - Binded to Primary TX - V1.07
RX2 : RSAT in EX Bus mode - Failsafe disabled - Binded to Secondary TX - V3.25

It seems do not switch to RX2 in Dal Path mode when turned off the primary TX modul : all servos are in Hold and do not respond to TX.

Another feedback ?

Best regards.

Stéphane

The site shows a 4.24 update only for the dc 24. Is this the software to be downloaded?

Thanks Chatty.

Some over on RC Groups have claimed there is a problem and they may be correct. However there test setup is overly complex and some of the configuration described seems incorrect. A couple of suggestions to get to the bottom of this with the least effort.
You said failsafe is disabled but did you also change Intelligent Failsafe to Assist Off ? If not, try selecting Assist Off instead of Intelligent failsafe. If it still doesn't switch to Rx2 when the primary RF section is disable try turning Ex Bus stabilization off and then see if will switch to secondary when Primary RF section is disabled. It won't act as a gyro with Ex Bus stabilization turned off but will provide useful info. If it switches over to Rx2 properly when EX Bus stabilization is turned off and it doesn't when Ex Bus stabilization is enabled, then there is definitely a bug Ex Bus stabilization over rides fail safe and you'll need to wait for new firmware. Just some thoughts for some things to try if you get a few minutes to do some further testing.

Hello Wayne,

So, failsafe is well initiated as follow : Failsafe disabled and Assist Off

New tests today :

Ex stabilization ON : CB doesn't switch to RX2 when TX primary is turned off. Looks like RX1 send "hold" signal to CB200...
Ex stabilization OFF : CB switchs as usual to RX2 when Tx primary is turned off

So, this is the stabilization system that over ride Failsafe, as you mention it...

Waitting for Jeti firmware update !

Best regards.

Stéphane
