How much full landing flap and crow do you have,, If you are landing with half throttle already, you are carrying a lot of drag, I would guess that you have too much flap, this is a very slick...

I cant comment on the electric retracts as I have had no personal experience with them. My pnuematic retracts have worked Flawlessly!

I wouldnt worry too much about the pressure in the front of the fuselage, the two inlets direct the air towards the turbine and meet, and there is a ton of area for the air to deflect and exit...
