Default Tamjets 1/6 Scale F-16, made by Feibao

Hey guys and girls, starting a new project, tamjets f-16, but after doing the research on this jet, come to find out, that this new in the box f-16, is almost 10 years old and feibao made this f-16 for tamjets, so with that said, I'm going to have a lot of work on my hand, the new feibao f-16 has the ailerons servo In the wings, my new old f-16, has the aileron servo in the fuselage, still doing more research.

I was the second owner of the TJ F16 #1, I build it for one of his customer, it came back with him from China, the rest came in a container a month later, Jimmy ( his friend ) end up with it ( owner #1 ) I was owner #2 ) about 10 years later my friend Randy got it from me ( owner #3 ) he traded it for a P 120 to a guy from Fresno ( owner #4 ) this guy end up been Jimmy 's friends ( owner #1 )

As far as I know, this F16 has now a new paint job, camo green ( it was white ) and it still flying.

The TJ F16s were controled via tailerons, it had no ailerons and it was a very docile airplane to fly, in flight you couldn't tell if it had ailerons or not, I learned all about how to build a jet on this airframe since I think I build like 16 of them.

He was selling FeiBao jets then ( Rafael, T45 )

Hope this info helps.

I'm afraid the landing gear for that kit is unobtanium. Matrix fitted perfectly, but I've heard that they are not producing them anymore. You could make another 1/6 scale gear fit, but no one would sell them without a kit. I tried many times sourcing a Skymaster set....no luck.

I had one of these, but sold it to Bell Helicopter for UAV testing. It is honestly the best F-16 ARF/Kit I've seen.

Default F-16

I order a set of fei bao retract, talk to Cathrine at fei bao, she said the retract they sell will fit perfect, there's no difference in the airframe.

FeiBao retracts were specifically designed for that airframe.

this is the TJ F-16 Carlos was talking about. I repainted it and modernized the radio installation a bit. Flew it for 50-60 flights and put it in storage while engine went to another plane. Plan to get it flying again during this lockdown.

But, it’s a 1/8 scale not the larger one the OP is talking about though.

I have the same kit. Got my gear from Catherine last month. They appear to be robust. I'm not going to build mine until this fall. I have a P 180 for mine. I plan on flying it with all the drop tanks and armament. What servos are you planning on using for the leading edge flaps?

I wander if k140 will push this jet with authority.

This is a Feo Bao jet, Tam's F16 is smaller, control via tailerons, uses rails for the retracts.

BUT, I'm very interested on this one, I owned FeiBao jets before and they are strong, fly good and look good, I also like their Rafael in the red, green and blue colors, I build like 4 if them for Tam's customers, I whish I had one.

Fei bao F16 was sold to ramjets, tamjets stamp there name on the wood insert, my length is 95" and wp 65", power 28 to 40lb, I think the P140 would be on the low side of power, I'm guessing it depend on the weight, when it's finished.

I have an Extreme ARF version of this jet which is supposedly built using FB molds. I would like to power it with a 180 but only have a 210 available right now. I should have had it ready to fly by now but have been in a building slump lately . Interested to see the differences between this one and mine.
