The new beast has arrived: Frank Turbine FT-250!
Dear all.
We would like to advise that we started a distribution point for the USA of the Frank Turbine engines, since last summer.
These engines have proven to be very reliable, extremely well made and offer a power-to-weight ratio as well as TSFC that are among the best on the market.
Frank Turbine is based in Austria. They have access to some of the best CNC machines in the country and are working on some amazing new products in cooperation with Ultimate Jets.
The new FT-250 is a very impressive engine.
It offers the best power-to-weight ratio on the market at the moment with most engines pushing well above 250 N in standard conditions, while being just at 1900 grs bare.
This weight is achieved by using some of the best materials on the market for the internals, as well as the casing.
The front cowling is made of carbon fiber, which is unique.
The turbine comes fully tested at the factory with the FOD screen fitted. So the claimed performance is much closer to real life in-plane performance.
The exhaust side of the engine is also very unique with a setup being very close to the latest generation airliner turbofans.
The tailpipe is chevron type and fairly short, while airflow guidance is improved by the long inner cone.
This gives to the engine a very unique look:
Frank Turbine's team and Ultimate Jets are cooperating into the development of a new level of professional engines.
This will come with many advanced featured not seen on the market as of now.
This engine is call the FT-500 and will be available to the market fro September on.
Ultimate Jets has setup a continental distribution and support center for the USA and Americas called Frank Turbines USA.
We are setting up a new generation of turbine balancing machine in-house and Woody will provide full service and repair from Houston.
The available products are:
FT-180
FT-220
FT-250
FT-500 from September on

Hi Oli,
Coincidentally, I have just tested the FT-250 for a full report in the latest issue (June/July 2020) of RC Jet International magazine, where it performed extremely well. For anyone interested in reading the report, the issue is available in print format via our website at www.rcjetinternational.com or in digital format at https://pocketmags.com/radio-control...ional-magazine

Looks sharp! Do you have any photos or videos of the ECU setup?
Are telemetry functions supported with any radio brands?
What is the maintenance interval?

Standard ECU setup, with telemetry available from most devices like our ASSI 2, the Vspeak or Digitec TTU.
Maintenance interval is 50 hours.
