I know with the valiant factory tank the carb level was almost at the bottom of the tank . in order to get the low tuned in properly you had to adjust the needle way past the factory recommendations...

The larger fg motors i think from the fg21 and up...

The larger fg motors i think from the fg21 and up use a different carb then the smaller motors . They are not tank position critical like the smaller motors .

your low setting should be 5 to 5/12 in from the adjustment screw flush with the throttle arm. the high you have correct . i start with 1 to 1 1/2 on the high . the motor will start on these settings...
