RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Staale, those snow pictures are amazing. I finally got my Tiger Meet F-16 converted to P200SX power from a P160SX. Complete and total transformation - hard to believe it is even the same airframe....

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Heads up regarding retract airlines... Make sure that the main gear tires do not touch air lines in the retracted position. The wheels continue to spin after takeoff and retraction, and the tires...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

The rudder moves about 12 degrees with the recommended rudder throw. A servo arm moves nearly 40 degrees at 100% ATV. To achieve the recommended rudder throw at 100% ATV, the linkage must give about...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

I put the maiden flight on my Tiger Meet. Conditions were a little breezy, but down the runway. Pics below are compliments of my crew chief (on and off the field).

Setup is P160sx in full bypass....

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Thanks Jay. Bob Wilcox gave some guidance as well. Appears that 1" would be the minimum for the 160.

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

I need a little advice regarding placement of a P160 in a full bypass setup. The first pic shows the turbine placed so that adequate bypass air can flow around the front of the turbine without a...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Will this bird hold knife edge at speed with the suggested 25 mm of rudder throw?

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Thanks Craig. I'm assembling my Tiger Meet now and have a couple of small cracks in the aileron hinge line at the root. May never become a problem, but planning ahead just in case. Your mod looks...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Thanks Tor. I finally started work on the F-16 - presently working on the servos and control horn installation. I'm going to do a couple of mods, including your rudder setup. The P-160sx is sitting...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Thanks Rex!

I measured fuel tank volumes. Saddle tanks are 64 oz each and the top tank is 80 oz. WOW! Way more fuel (and take off/landing weight) than I need for a 160. I'm going to replace the...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

A Tiger Meet pro version arrived at my door step yesterday. I'm about to start the assembly, so I read 50 pages of this thread and took notes. I'll do several of the modifications, particularly the...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

OK, I've skimmed this thread, but I have not read every post. Will a P160sx fly this plane with authority assuming it is rigged for minimum weight and with no ordinance? Not looking for unlimited...
