Main problem I see is that if turbine powered (and you are on a turbine themed section of RCU) it may not land.
Last year I built a turbine powered scale HS Trident, as simple as possible, and to...

You are right. NOT a Falcon 120 at all. Maybe an early prototype from which the Falcon was derived? Or a later balsa copy.
My Falcon 120, all the ones I have seen, had balsa wings/tail and...

RIght you are. That's landing. Best clue is the flap angle.
That was at Machrihanish (Scotland) an old RAF V-bomber base, and a backup emergency strip for NASA's space shuttle. Now rarely used.

I had two Hitec 82MG mini servos, one on each rudder.
And two Hitec 225BB servos on elevator.
Power was a 14lb thrust Wren, and it was light.

Hi Wayne,
Your F-14 is very impressive in flight, and the F-5 is a beauty.
Your Falcon has the same scheme as my old one (photo below) Mine was lighter than 15 lb, but I can't remember exactly. Dry...

Just out of interest, what does it weigh with a 12S battery? And what capacity battery? I'm guessing 5000mAh for a decent flight time.

I had one of these models with a 14 lb thrust Wren 54. I...

Thank you to you both.

My first Falcon 120 was 60 powered (a Wren 54 Mk3 rated 63N, 14 lb). That was perfectly adequate for a good performance and manoeuvrability.
I used the KISS principle: fixed gear, big battery well...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

A Falcon 120 on a P-20!!!

That's amazing. I considered a Wren 44 gold, but fitted a Wren 54 to mine instead - and it goes really well.

How heavy is it with a P-20??

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

merry Xmas to you all (or, for rednecks, all y'all)
Before retiring I flew the HS 121, L1011, Boeing 747, 757, 767 and all of these had air driven instruments.
The sources for the pitot and static...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

You can download the data as a stream and analyse it. You can spot and eliminate obvious errors.
If you couple the...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

Xairflyer,
I like the trailing link legs!
A very cunning way of keeping the wheels in a line, and not a lot of difficult machining.
What retract units are you using BTW??
