RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

That's a 20:1 methanol/oil ratio. That's only 4.76% oil (if my math is correct). ST recommends 10% to 12% oil in the larger engines like the 4500, after the engine is broken in. An 8:1 methanol/oil...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I picked up another ST. The more of these things I get, the more I like them.:D This one is a slightly used S.75. It looks almost new inside, the bearings are even in good shape. It was missing its...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Hobbsy, your example appears to have a MAG II or III carb and muffler bolt ears. Do you have any tach readings for it?

Thanks,
David

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Bob, I found this photo on the web, so ST apparently sold that muffler with the front sealed.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Bob, that's a very nice muffler. Considerable time probably went into turning it's rear sections. I don't know how the front piece is attached, bit if you could turn a new cap to replace it then...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Bob, if your engine's bolt holes are 38mm center to center then PM me.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Thanks Ed. This is the 0.23 cid, not the 23cc ST. I'll try it with an 8x5 and go from there. It's just that a 9x4 seems a bit big for this engine, but it may do well with it.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

OK, Super Tigre espertos, what is the G20 .23's favorite prop? I know these were popular engines in their day and that there's probably a prop or two that they like best. It seems more like a bored...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

If it has bolt ears on the case then the latest muffler will fit. ST has kept the same bolt spacing over the years. If it doesn't have bolt holes I think Bisson makes a strap-on sixty.ninety muffler....

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Latest ST acquisition is a used S.29. This one cleaned up nice and has great compression and good bearings.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

A nick or a tiny split in the tip of a wooden prop can produce buzzing sounds.

Just a thought, when you replaced the bearings were you sure to reinstall the spacer on the crankshaft? Most ST's...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I finished "restoring" my S .61K. It's the first Super Tigre I've ever owned. I cleaned the heck out of it, installed a new set of Boca bearings and made new parchment paper gaskets (thanks for the...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Thanks Bax. That's all good news. I guess I should have asked this in the ST support forum.[sm=red_smile.gif] Were all K's made in Italy or did production move before the introduction of the G?

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Ok, then I have the K version. Thanks. The good news is that Tower lists most of the parts for the current G .61 as the same for the S K. So, now I'm wondering what the differences are between the G...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Wow, after years in the hobby I just picked up my first ST! It's an older .61 with the "S" on the case, but it has the squared head and fins like the current ones (with a G).

My question is, if...
