It looks to me like the picture is off center from the right side of the plane, giving a small amount of paralax/optical illusion...I believe that if the picture were dead center/head on, you'd see...

Broken down this way, it seems even cheaper! $35 per set is not out of line for almost any plans, but I haven't seen many 1/4 or 1/3 scale plans commercially available for anywhere near...
