Thanks Ben for the insight. Since the differences are not much, I'll probably build the kit as is and figure a way to switch fom wheels to floats.

How much basching would I have to do to change a Pica YMF-3 kit to make a UBF-2. I would like to build the plane in these pics - floats & all.

Can I get into the Brotherhood? I just bought a 1/5 Pica kit last week. It is complete and unstarted. I'll start building in Fall of 2009. I am going to complete a Nosen P-47 this Winter...
