they use a set screw on the gas 220

With out starting a war I think IMO that you must make sure the engine is hot meaning up to full operating temp
and fairly low on fuel
I like to fill my tank half full then start it up and run...

Not sure if glow 4 stroke are the same as gas engines but when the valve gap is on the wide side it causes the timing to be late the engine will have a loss of power
