RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I'm not sure what the draw is but the 7000mah Hobbico gel cell from Tower Hobbies works great. I think there only about $20.00.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

So then you recommend removing at least one? Why do they come with shields if they are lubricated better without them?

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I'm replacing the bearings on a FA-82 and I read in an article to remove at least one of the shields on the rear bearing to allow for better lubrication, is this correct?

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I'm replacing the bearings in my 82 and realized I don't have a gasket for the timing gear case, is it absolutely necessary or will a gasket sealant work?

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I was taking a short cut by trying to lean the LS out first thinking I could fly with it and then come back and lean the HS for more power{WRONG}. By leaning the LS first the HS had to be ran rich...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

You were right on, I was taking a short cut and leaning my LS before I had peaked my HS just to get an idle to fly. I reset both needles back to factory and did it properly this time and all is good....

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Yes, I have adjusted the LS. There has to be some kind of range for the HS, does 2.5 turns sound like Im in the ballpark? What RPM should I be able to get with the 14*4W?

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Do you think I did any permanent damage? Should I run it again and see what happens or just send it back to Horizon. We're supposed to have some good flying weather this weekend here in Oregon.

I just put some MMO in it and worked it real good. It seems completely free now but I'm wondering what happened. Should I try rumming it again or just bag it and send it back to Horizon? Thanks
