RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I have been running Omega 15% in all my engines 2 and 4 stroke, OS and Saito for almost 20 years and never had a problem that wasn't created by me. It runs good and is reliable.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

The gasket goes between the crankcase and the cover, the cylinder is a metal to metal fit.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

How are you holding the brass tube on that Turboheader? I have several and that looks like a solution looking for a place to be applied.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

If you haven't already flown one, you will really like that 62, they are a well mannered engine. Mine likes APC 12/6's. I have 3.

62's run real good on a APC 12/6. 72's like a 13/6 of thesame brand.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

It would not hurt to send it to Horizon, it could be a flaw in the casting. It should have stripped the threads, not pulled out part of the casting.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I agree call Lee Mfg, if it can be fixed, he can do it. You can not buy just the bracket for the 100, it is one of the few that you can't.
He does good work and they are fast!!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Check the O-rings on both ends of the intake tube. Also that the little metal ring is pushing the O-ring on the head end in.

Mike;
You should have told them you would give them a $100 for each and put them out of their misery. Then you would have both been happy!!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I must admit that I am old fashioned, I still belive that airplanes should fly on the wing. Having said that, yes, I would still use 15% because I get plenty of power out of my engines to pull any...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

The only issue I have ever had with an OS plug was the threads on a new one (F), looked like they had been hit with a hammer. Like you they just don't wear out!!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Just for giggles and grins, the next time you replace the bearings in an engine check the drag on the crank before you run it the first time and then after that first GENTLE run, you do do a easy run...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

You need to set the valves cold, I usually set them the day after I have run the engine. I also set them close, 0.0015 as a go guage and 0.002 as no-go, that is just what has worked for me for many...
