RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I use a piece of fuel tube on the crank case vent and run that into a piece of thin wall 1/4" tube and then out of the plane. No problems so far and I have run about 15" extensions using this...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I have been using this fuel since I got my first Saito and it runs great. I was told a few pages back to add a little more castor oil to a gal. and started putting in another 3 oz. per gal. I runs...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I have found that putting the Nylon lock nuts on the bottom of the mounting beam helps a lot in keeping the motor mounting bolts tight. I tap the nylon motor mount for the size bolt I am using and...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I have the same pump on a Saito 125 and once I got it dialed in, it ran great. The pressure is adjustable and it sounds like you are getting to much pressure. Follow the instructions that came with...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

It sounds like you were running lean and when you hit the gas, it backfired on you. I have no idea why the header pipe would break off like that though. I had a 100 run like that one time and I...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I would put a 91 in it. That is kind of a draggy plane and the extra horses would not hurt it at all. You can always throttle back a bigger engine, but you can never throttle up a small engine.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

If you are a low time pilot, I would forget about the P-38 for now. Save it for later when you have a chance of enjoying it.

I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New...

Is Cool Power 30% all synthetic, and if it is, do you need to put some Castor in it??????????????????

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I used a plastic spinner for awhile on my 100, but never again. It back fired once and blew the spinner apart. I now use Tru-Turn spinners only and will never go back to plastic.

I tried the...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Well, the props didn't come in before the weekend so I didn't get a chance to fly the different props. Try again next weekend. I still have one question though. Ed Cregger said to add some Castor oil...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Ed Cregger and thrashin;
Thanks for the help. I was adjusting the engine when it back fired, not running it lean. I had to take the cowl off and put it back on and to do that, I had to remove...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I have a question on props for a 125 mounted in a Seagull Ultimate 120. I like to fly more pattern and am not interested very much in 3D. I have tried 3 different props and am not getting the...

If you like to go up, and I mean up, get the 100. If you like to just piddle around and fly around not doing much, the 91 is fine, but to really have fun the 100 is out of sight. I have...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I've had that problem with two strokes. I had the tank mounted to tight and it caused foaming in the tank which gave me bubbles in the fuel line. Check your tank and see if it is foaming. If not,...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Stay Brite is great for soldering landing gear and such, but will melt out of an exhaust system like you are trying to do. Real silver solder takes a torch to melt and is almost as strong and heat...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Take the head off and send it to Clarance Lee to get it fixed. He,ll send it back good as new and it doesn't cost any where near as much as a new engine. If you don't know how to take it apart, send...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

By the way, the manual says to run the 125 at between 8,500 and 9,500 after it is broken in. Prop it somewhere in that range and you are good to go according to the manual.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Greetings;
I'll try this again. What is a good replacement for a two stroke engine for sport flying, not 3D flying. I used to fly a Dreamer with an HP-40 and it flew great on that. I am...
