RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Ah, you have a Mammoth in that bad boy! Sweet. That should push her around very well! Mine came out 53 lbs wet. I should be in good shape. Takeoffs will be a blast. No pun intended lol.

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Mine is finally finished and waiting for maiden. As soon as the weather breaks. This one has the CG set at 220. It has a BF300 and 164 oz of fuel. The saddle tanks had to be notched so the engine...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Yeah, I will have to use power management. I'm looking for vertical performance not so much speed. No slats or flaps. Just ailerons. I was going to put a P200 in it but the BF300 is here and I'll...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

My G2 is finally here! Skymaster did a fantastic job on the custom theme. This bird is getting a BF300 turbine. I know some may think that this is a tired theme, but since I got into Jets this is...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Anton,

Will the old gear fit in G2? Also what will be the price of a painted airframe only with gear doors attached?

Thanks,
Andy

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

I don't transport mine on the gear. I use a bean bag that molds itself to the fuse with the gear up. Transporting on the gear prematurely wears it out.

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Dowels aren't that hard. Just drill the hole wide enough for the dowel on the bottom side which gets covered by the pylon and hysol the snot out of them on both ends. Let it set and bingo your good...

Alans Enrish is not very good.  What happened to his jet?  Rudder failure or elevator?

Same exact thing happened to me. They replaced the rudder and I installed the "MOD".

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

I used my spare tamjet saddle tanks for smoke tanks. Works great. I have two nozzles blowing smoke oil in the pipe. You should see the smoke it creates.

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

I had a great weekend flying my Thunderbird at the Mt. Pleasant TX rally. The runway is only about 40 x 600 and it takes almost the whole runway to take off. Maybe it was the heat. We were in the...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

I bought the materials to do the mod today. I just like the idea of using the "solutions" that the factory gives. It should work! lol.

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

The new pin appears to have a deeper and more boxy groove. It seems like it has less play than the other one (actually it has no play). I'm tempted to try it without "the mod".

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

arrg. Having trouble getting the new rudder installed. The pin will only fit if the rudder is completely flush to the stab. As a result the rudder is snug at the base but the rudder will not slide...
