The 17X6 or 16X10 is the proper size prop for the 2300. My 2300 will rev to 9000 with a 17X6 and the transition is much better.

Spinning an engine will a drill doesn't even require that you remove the head just take the glow plug out and that relieves the compressiona and it will turn freely. Lube it with ATF and no damage...

Race engines use windage trays and crank scrapers and baffles to keep the oil away form the crank. Dry sump engines are designed to increase power.
