I droped a tool onto my canopy in my hobbyroom, cracking it.

Just got it bondo`d and painted. Looks ok...at lest different to the stock color ;)

hah...I found an old picture that I took about a year ago.......you can actualy see the fault lines in the blade where it has cracked!

Buying a JJ, makes you wiser :)

JJ sells the turbine wheel balanced.
I will install it, and see how it runs. Any sign of imbalance, and I know someone who can...

The merlin 90 has more thrust, and is cheaper, and it also comes from a company with a good reputation.

I have ordered a new turbine wheel. The parts in the JJ still look...

The plane realy flys well, so it was not realy an event to get it down safely :D

Ill try and order a new turbine wheel for it, or buy a MW-54 kit or merlin 90.

Yea...I actualy flew the entire third flight with the blade like that.

There was vibration from idle 45.000 until 50.000 rpm, then it ran smoothe to 160.000. Very strange. But even at full...

Fired uo the engine last night, to see if all was ok, and see how hot the tail would get.

Well, I could hold my hand under the stabilizer with out any problems at both idle and full throttle....

Just strange, but if you look at the videos on youtube, the falcon is flown pretty hard.......but who knows wwhat they have done to strengthen it.

For hot starts, I was thinking of taking a thin sheet of aluminium, and bend it as an airfoil shape to fit over the stab.
Ill do some testing to see how warm the servo area gets,...

My old hotspot also had wood in the wing tube. Included in the kit.
So it cant hurt ;)

I also found some metal 6mm x 60mm steel bolts for the booms.

I also found a 18mm hardwood stick/rod that fit inside the 20mm wing tube.

Finaly got mine finished :D

Only need to replace the 4 nylon wing bolts with metal ones.......and then do an engine/fuel system test.
Should have it in the air in 2 weeks time at one of our...

Also, where is the elevator in neutral ?

I use GE gray RTV, that i borrowed from work.

You can probably use lots of other stuff.
I have also used epoxy.....that wont fall apart either ;)
