RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Thanks Ed...

The "groove" is (was) straight or actually at just a slight bias, or angle from the carb neck hole to the F. bearing opening...and was deeper and wider than any I've ever seen?
It...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Keep an eye out for parts in the RCU Market place, and that other well known auction site eb** because I see parts for that engine there from time to time...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Hi Bax, thanks...but...actually, the piston (compression ) seal is great, and it still has a nice amount of pinch.

It's when the piston is comming down that I hear a "pssst" comming out from...

I notice that when I flip it over, it makes a hissing sound, like the...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Cool Mike :D
I think that's one of the things that we learn as we become real "modellers" or hobbieists (hobby-ists?) vs. someone who just messes around with model airplanes and doesn't really know...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I wouldn't be happy with 9,500...that sounds pretty low to me.
You probably know this already, but you break-in a ringed engine different from an ABC in that you generally run it richer during the...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I've seen that guy on e-pay...the one who modifies cranks. The mods look impressive, and should actually help. Most r/c car engines already employ such "Turbo" cuts but the piston / rod is weighed...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I got my assembly lube with the Crane cam I put in my 351 Cleveland about 10-12 years ago...:D

Actually, the Moly (Molybdinum Disulphide I think? ) is probably overkill...and if you use too...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

When I put a new cam in, I use a little "moly" assembly lube (the thick, gray stuff ) on the cam lobes and lifters, and a dab on each end of the pushrods.

After I have oiled my engines, I...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

That's a good mount Buzz...I have used that type of nose gear set-up numerous times.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I think that's just the way it's machined Buzz? The crank's counter-weight / crank-pin end has "relief" cuts on either side of the crank-pin to remove material, thus leaving behind a mass on the...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I think that nut will center the prop washer so it won't wobble? That and the nut is thicker so there are more threads for a stronger nut? Some 4 strokes have this set up too.

The alcohol in a...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Just had a thought...
Remember the old Enya mufflers? They had a port or opening directly opposite the exhaust stack, used for priming...
