Well this is what I do with my Saito 180. It generally starts in the good direction (the 180.) whatever the direction I flip the prop.

Well my engine runned right, when it had the chance to turn in the good direction. I started it by hand, without any starter. It had some difficulties to start when I flipped the prop in the good...

Well in fact my engine started today backwards 98% of the time.

So turning clockwise the low end needle could arrange things. Thanks.

How far should I screw...

I own a new Saito 72. During breaking in on a bench it worked OK. Now it is mounted upside down on my Chipmunk and I had a hard time today...

No, I've checked that also. The pushrods were at their place, inside their housing.
Well never mind, that won't keep me from loving Saito engines.
Is there any advice for the breaking-in of the...

Well the engine had no compression at all... The valves did not close at all...
I suppose it was an abnormal situation, even for a new engine.

I've just bought a Hangar 9 1/4 Cub and I'm gonna put my 1.80 on it. Hope it won't be to much over powered... :(

So considering the engine is upside down, what's the correct vertical position of the bottom of the fuel tank relatively to the engines high end needle ?
