You are not looking at this correctly, Thrust is a reactive force, it is what it makes the object do, a rocket sitting pointing up, the jet blast out the bottom, makes the rocket go up, that is why...

The pic is from my Navycat, it was not because it never lined up but the fuselage hole was about 5mm diam too big for the tube, the kit came with new blocks to glue inside the fuselage, so obviously...
