RE: WACO YMF

The Cline unit bears no resemblance to this one. It works with both muffler or crankcase pressure; if using the Cline on crankcase pressure you need to install a one way valve to keep tank...

RE: WACO YMF

IMHO Bill Effinger's plans are stand way back and look for the semblence of a scale outline. Building techniques and methods used were out dated.

RE: WACO YMF

I would power it with an OS MAX 160 twin, great sound and good power to weight ratio.

RE: [Awaiting Approval]

Skylarkmk1-

What can you tell me about the colors used on N89B F5-006? It appears to be a green metallic with gold trim.

Thanx-

RE: [Awaiting Approval]

Neil-

Is your 120 a single rocker cover or 2? If it is the 2 rocker cover engine, it puts out about 1.5 hp but was very prone to the case breaking when pushed hard. Many pattern flyers found...

RE: [Awaiting Approval]

Try a 16x6 or a 16x8, prefferably a wider blade prop, Expert or other composite props; an APC would work, looks funny.

RE: WACO YMF

I believe the paint used on the Waco built by Classic Aviationis DuPont Imron. This was the paint of choice for a high gloss finish. Bad thing about is "if you can smell the bananas it is too...

RE: WACO YMF

Bill-

Do you know of anyone who has built the Barth 1/4 Waco? After some research, it appears the OS 5 cylinder radial may be a but much for it, but I guess that is why they have throttles. I...

Anthony-

Thanks for the input and insight. I had totally forgotten about the Barth kits, I know they are very good. Their 1/4 should be about right size for my radial, just need to settle in...

RE: WACO YMF

For what it is worth, I have had three 1/5 Wacos and all of them have been powered by the OS 160 twin. The flight is most realistic and there is plenty of power in reserve to do most any maneuver...
