I have a 1/4 Barth Waco. It appears to be pretty scale. I doubt it's "exact" scale but nicely done.
Mine is still a NIB kit. I should build it but I have so many others ahead of it I have no idea...

If any one is interested I have a NIB Peter Barth Waco I would part with. It's 1/5 Scale and a very nice kit with excellent glass work etc.

The difference is that the lower wing center section is part of the fuse structure, sort of. Because its part of the belly pan there seemes to be a ply front and back TE and LE edge where as the top...

Bill thanks for that info..I'm not sure about using poly. I have never used it to fill weave.. Nitrate with talc does a really good job.. that much I do know. Always goood to learn something new.

How about.. dope? Nitrate specifically. It's a great sealer and helps with closing the weave. Probably the lightest there is.

FYI I took delivery of my Barth1/4 Waco yesterday. Very nice kit from what I could tell with a quick glance through the box. Thin but well detailed...

Peter, I looked at google earth.. Yes LOTS have changed!.. Maybe some day I'll get back there :)

Peter, I missed you then. I left frankfurt in the spring of 1968 :( Never revisiting. Maybe I should come back and see how things have changed. Would really be interesting thats for sure:)

Do you think you are going to need all that throw for the rudder? Seems like a lot. Why not just come off the servo arm? It's only a 1/4 plane lots different from a 1/3.
