RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

When I started to fly mine again with the 200SX i set the CG at 225mm.
Problem is that all of the 6 liters of fuel is well ahead of the CG, so the first half of the flight still felt nose heavy, so...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Thanks Rex.
Guess that's the only right thing to do. It's best that they will be secured well.

A friend of mine molded a tank for me that fills the space in the belly below the intake duct....

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Went on to mount the 3 pairs of underwing pylons today, but there was no hardpoints under any of the 12 locations that you are supposed to drill holes in to. [:o] And the yes, I drilled the holes in...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

I want the smoke tanks close to the CG as all the 200 oz of fuel is well forward of the CG.
Anoyone of you F-16 pilots put your smoke tanks outboard of the engine in the wing roots? What tanks did...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Hi:)

Have a few Q's for the F-16 enthusiasts in here.

I sold my Tiger F-16 last summer. I must have been out of my mind to do it since it did not take to long before I started regretting...

Congrats on your maiden Andrew[sm=thumbs_up.gif]
Sorry to hear about the Tam F-16, but to look at the bright side you still have the best F-16 left;)

From what you are describing, it is...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Thanks!
CG was around 210 mm back from LE or a little bit behind the spar in the engine bay with no fuel on board.

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Thanks Andy!

Yes, tailerons and ailerons are mixed together and seems to work great.
I'm using flight modes, and the 3rd mode lowers the ailerons as flaps. But the live hinging on the...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Thanks Andy!
Yes the CG was set when it was completely dry as you did. I'm moving two 7,2v 1800 NiCd's from the nose cone to the area under the pilots bum before the next flight.

Don't know...

Just a few seconds into the maiden I knew that this plane was a keeper and that all the nice things Tor has said about it was so true. It didn't take many minutes before I could...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

I know what you mean, but you get to meet so many people there you only see once or twice pr. year, but it's a difficult choice for sure. You are making it hard for me to decide....:D

Maybe...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Hi Tor.

The F-16 is ready to go, but I haven't decided if I'm going to the event in Fagernes this weekend or not. If I go, the 16 stays at home and I'll do the maiden during the easter holidays....

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

I ran in to some problems securing the wing to the fuselage, so I spent the evening making a better solution.
No matter how hard i tightened the securing screws, I could easely pull the wings off....

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Sorry, don't have a pic of that at hand at the moment..

I can't take credit for the pin idea. It was my friend Cato Horten (netroh) who came up with that. But it is a great idea for sure.

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Erik has a P-180 in his F-16 and I can't really tell that much difference between his and the other SM F-16's I've seen with JetCat 160's and G-boosters.
I have A Merlin in mine, but maiden will...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

I think the problem is that the Chineese workers that assembles theese planes don't have a clue about what they are doing. How much extra efort would it take to get a former lined up 100%? 1 second,...

I've...

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!

Yes. The anti-freeze or "condense remover" (don't know the english word) is vital for reliable gear operations in sub freezing temps. Specially with a plane you have used a lot in the summer months...
