RE: WACO YMF

What is the latest on the CJM 1/5 landing gear? I sure would like to get one. I'm in the process of fabricating one. It ain't as easy as it looks.

RE: WACO YMF

Well, I finally got my Waco video done. I used Windows Movie Maker. Being computer challanged it took me longer than I will admit to. But, it was fun. It won't take as long next time. Search on You...

RE: WACO YMF

Wow Ken, that is a great piece of engineering too. Do you have an aluminium guru handy? I'm committed to the wire gear. I like the way it flexes as opposed to the aluminum gear on my Extra. ( I worry...

RE: WACO YMF

Hi Ken
I was just prowling around and saw your post about your shock absorbing landing gear. Great piece of engineering. Thanks to my less than skillful landings, my Cox gear is getting a bit soft....

RE: WACO YMF

Ken, I hear you on those wing tips. My Cox has a lot of scabs on the tips as well as two repairs from major crashes. But since I've gone to wheel landings with a small elevator throw I've been able...

RE: WACO YMF

Ken, thanks for the pics of your Waco. That is one very nice looking bird. That ground level view looks like a full scale. What did you cover and paint it with? How much does it weigh? I like that...

RE: WACO YMF

Thanks for all the responses on Waco flying techniques. I certainly learned the hard way about 3 pointing. Luckily the Cox is built like bridge. I've got a G-26 on mine. Probably a little more...

RE: WACO YMF

I've been reading the blogs regularly. From the looks of things there are a lot of master builders out there. I feel like I've cheated with my 1/5 Cox. But I love the way it flies and how it looks in...

RE: WACO YMF

Hello all. I'm so glad to find a place where others love their Waco's. I started a Pica in '06, then the Cox came out. After a frustrating wait I finally got my 1/5 bird. I've had plenty of models,...
