RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

With out a bearing change the oil ratio will be the same, which I believe is 10% to 12%.

Just like Gas-Glow.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

The MAC'S one piece black muffler are not for performance.
actually I believe they give less power than a stock pipe.

They are simply lighter and quiter.

Jett makes some pretty cool stuff.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I have both flavors of ST engines Chinese and Italian.

I like the Chinese better. They seem to run stronger.

As far as durability, who ever really wears out a Super Tigre.

What fuel...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

It looks to me like your going to have trouble with the muffler being to close to the cowl as it is.

Keep us posted I'd love to see the video.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I had one of these, it flew well with a ST-90.
I hung 1 1/2 pounds on the fire wall so it would balance.

It actually had more poop than the 25cc Toro conversion I replaced it with
but I was...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

The 18x5 is small for the 2300
I fly a 2300 in a pattern plane with a 17x10n and it's great.

The 15.75x13x3 is close to the max, and probally to big.
I would put at least a gallon of fuel...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Yes that's 10% nitro and 10% oil.

Your problem may be low compression due to a worn ring.

I sent off to Frank Bowman and he made me a new ring.
What a difference.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Don't 2500 run 10/10?

I have one and I broke it in with 10/18 and I'm getting ready to run 10/10 in it.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

OK guys I'm sure I'm over looking something simple here.

I purchased a Ultra Sport 60 with a ST-75 real cheap, I mean real cheap servos and everything.

The plane ran well on the ground but...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I have a ST-2000 that runs great on Omega 10%, no shims.

I didn't like the Cool Power at all.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Well I finally got the ST-2300 running well enough to attempt the maiden Flight.

Because of ground clearance issues I went with a 16x11 prop.
She tacks at 8300 and transition is pretty smooth....

XJET said.

"Replace the carb *and* fit a mousse-can."

What carb are you switching to and tell me about the mousse-can.

And what prop sizes are you using on what engines?

The...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Why in the world did a 13x8 prop give such a hard time, and a 12x8 run so good?

One should be able to tune either one.

With the K&B 61 and the OS 46 I have they just don't turn higher rpm...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Well I finally was able to tune my ST-90.
I tried several props with no success until I tried a 12x8 APC.

It took me about 10 minutes.
I printed out the instructions took them out to the...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I hate to admit it but XJET has a point.

Some of my ST engines run great stock and some don't.

Do I only have the ability to tune some ST's and not the rest?

Did I just get lucky?

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I would guess you have "Dirt" in a passage that is clogging up the carb.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I run a ST-2300 inverted on a pattern plane.
I could never get it to run, "PERFECT" with the stock carb.
"See Picture"

I put an OS carb on it and I could tune it in much better.
So I had a...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

This is not a ST-2300. It is a 2000 S.

They are completely different engines.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

Try the Omega 10/10 fuel. I picked one up here on RCU for $20.00 put a set of Bowman rings in it
and a carb off my ST-2300 and it runs great on the test stand.

I can't remember the prop but...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I think the Jett carb. with their muffler would be the perfect set up.

I have used Perry carb like this on a K&B 61 Twister and loved what it did for taming the beast.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I have one on my ST-2300.

I know people have had good luck with this carb.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I agree the 46 does have more raw power that the 51.

So how often do you fly a 46 at full power? Not often unless you are flying 3D.

The ST-51 is one sweet running engine.
It has power...

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

If you want a 46 size get the ST-51 it weighs less and has more midrange power.

RE: *** CLUB SUPER TIGRE ***

I"ve had a bad experence with the Cool Power, rusty bearings.

I believe the Omega is better. It seems to cool better and
no bearing problems.
