I worked in a shop that made FG aircraft parts and we never used an "infusion" layup. We used pre-impregnated(prepreg) fabrics which, in a nutshell, were FG cloth coated with various types of resins. These were then covered with plastic and vacuumed down to make the layup thinner while being "baked" in an oven. Some parts had paper based honeycomb encased in them but otherwise, all the parts were made the same way

Default hull #2

this will be mine, is ready yet but the upper and lower halves have not been bonded yet because the rails have to be glued in before. These raisl have to carry all internal sub-systems like
- 2 x RAT HOUSE
- 4 x gas tank
- 1 x RC-box
- 1 x battery box
- 1 x E-pump carrier.

pic are talking self.....

Default next steps

test of package with wooden dummies passed, today I have pre-assembled the first 4 drives, but you can see: thrust ball bearing still missed.
What you can see: the rocker bearing is the only part which we did not design,

WOW - Amazing! I just found this thread, what a great project!
>3m will not fit in my car and not in my appartment, so I would be very interested in the 1,6m Version....
Are you still working on it...? Will it be for sale or do you just build it for yourself?
Best regards - Bedo

Aahh. ok ok. Great, can't wait to see this monster in action.
I see that there is little participation in this forum (gas & electric), i hope you continue to post the progress of the project.
