Actually I found I might have a use for it, depends on if I get a pair of FG-30's or not, if not then I will get rid of it. Something tells me the FG-30's will fly my bomber well.

DUDE!!! I really shouldn't read these at work, now people are giving me that "look" as I sit here trying to smother my laughter.

I am building an 1/8th scale B-25. I know the FG-36 will work perfectly, but, try to find them.

We have no red buttons here, just orange, blue and green ones. Besides, it is either this or Netflix.

This may be a little bit related to past topics in this crazy forum- has anyone found a way to add color to APC props? I heard someone talk about dying props a long time ago.

(I've seen an APC with some red added to it, if you know what I mean)

Crazy forum? Have you heard something? ! We're absolutely not crazy we might have a couple of guys in their cups or smoking strange cigarettes but its strictly for medicinal purposes!

On adding color to a prop are what kind of prop are we talking about composite props, large Carbon Fiber props, you get the idea? Throw us a bone here. I assume you are wanting to do something beside painting the tips?

So I started my B-25 last night, get the spar glued, yeah me. I spent at least an hour or more reviewing the plans and the parts and found out that it calls for .90 to 1.08 power, then realized thats 2 stroke power, from 1990. What would that be in 4 stroke gas or glow? I have a 91 OS 2 stroke, but I hate 2 stroke. It is a rather large hunk of metal too, so at least I have something to gauge with for size.

I keep thinking about what to use for the Rascal 168 when I get it, use the DA 100 on it or something else, but until I actually have it on my bench and see what the overall size is of the nose, I can't say if it will work or not. SO, I am thinking if it doesn't work, I may see if I can trade the CARF Extra 300L with the electronics and DA100 for three motors that I can use, two for the B-25 and one for the Rascal, but wil need to wait and see.

So did some searching, I think based on a 50% increase in displacement would give the equivalent 4 stroke size. Based on 1.08 from the plans, a pair of FG-36 would be ideal, but since those are discontinued, looks like I have to go with either the FG-30 or the FG-40 for the B-25. I really would like to go 4 stroke so have not even considered looking at 2 strokes, but if I do, it would have to be a DLE 35RA minimum.

yeah. Its amazing how you get a nickname. Just try to have a little fun.

Acdii
yeah. Having the same problem with the 168. As much as i would like to put a 4 stroke in i may have to go the cheap route and get a DLE.

Better off painting them barry apc's are that good..or you could boil up a new grey or brown graupner and add some food dye,but don't eat it,they smell and taste real bad

Pope it's been a crazy 48hrs since i heard on the radio that donald duck has hit the lead..so i'm burying all my saito's to protect them. The handbrake has been bum up and head down all day with a shovel and wheelbarrow digging a swimming pool size hole in the back yard,by god she's a good woman

Rafeek do you own another saito you can fly till the pushrods turn up for the 180?

ps popey try playing a country and western record backwards..you get the dog,the ute(big pickup in america)and your favourite shootin iron back.Or as my mate kev says never even bother gettin engaged just write her out a cheque for 500,000 and shortcut the whole deal.Just made the handbrake a strong cuppa, will take it out the backyard and let her rest for a minute shes gettin tired climbing in and out of the hole she's digging.

I stumbled across a used Saito .56 yesterday, it will be here in a few days, I will do one of my little reports with an OS-f and a Xoar 12x6 on Wildcat 10% full synthetic fuel. Tower is sold out of Fox Miracle's so OS-f it is. See that Pete, an OS-f, I'm broadening my horizons.
