Dont forget there pretty fond of food too . When barney was a pup I was waliking him past our local bakery . He busted out of his collar and went flying into the shop and straight out the back , before I could grab him he had his snout in their bin going his hardest . Pets are cool even cats although Im no cat person and wouldnt own one but a good pet is a good pet . When young my daughter had pet rats . They are a great pet too but i remember one of hers was a little ***** who would bite u any chance he had but most were good . I like pets more than people although u probably wouldntnt have guessed ! that . When I was a kid our lab at the time would wait out the front for the bakery delivery driver ( they use to deliver back then ) . She would score a finger bun and the she would wonder down to the neighbors house and have morning tea with them . Cheers

OF, your pup can come play with my horses, though he might be a it tender in a few spots, sore even, afterwards. The horses like to play kickball. A dog got in the pasture ones and went after one of them and hit him, the dog then got a hoof right in the head, knocked it cold. My dogs keep their distance, and just bark at them.

Only popo could come up with a picture like that,now that guy needs to be kicked in the teeth so they go backwards a bit.You guys may laugh but..when saito hears the words one two five he goes berserk and he does'nt care where that is,would'nt want another animal in sight except me.

Brian the conrod big end failure on your 91 may be just a fluke humans are fallible bad luck about the warranty period.Your engine with the backplate off does look a bit fried and dirty,whereas dave's engine shot with the backplate off looks clean enough to eat your dinner off...mind you,he never flies them much here's a pic of the 220,saito spent a lot of time finishing these engines off too.

I had promised some folks a fair and balanced comparo of the LASER 1.00 and the Saito 1.00. I ran it for just under and hour, I decided it was too hot and humid for a full throttle run so 7,000 was a high as I took it. Here are their respective weights, one change I made, I replaced the stock LASER single prop nut with the Saito nuts.

Reading on the rcm and e forums Jon from laser and a few others have commented on that theres no need for the 2 nut system . But whatever floats your boat . Ive never seen a prop depart the engine so my thoughts may change . Ive heard from those who have and it scared the bejesus out of them . Lots of laser info there . Cheers

yee-up, one thing you can say about the Saitos, is that they are light, my OS 61FX (2St) weighs in it 19.42oz (1.213p)

You could say more than that jim they sound better than any two stroke and look better than os fourstrokes.If you like doing slow touch and goes or low level aero's they are the engine to have.Instant torque and thrust to get you out of the low level semi spun hole you just flew yourself in to.

Popo dave's being sensible (what do you expect at his age,apart from the green harley) and fitting a second nut to the prop.I'm sure we can find someone to pop around to your place and slap you with a large prop

Recently I got a very old Saito FA120. I needed extra weight in a tail-heavy plane and this FA120 delivered 1000g.
Along with the weight it deliveres sufficient power and it can be Hand started in running direction.
I will fly it until it blows up which probably will never happen on 20% Castor.

It seems to be older than my very old flying toaster.

Thankyou gents, I neglected to mention that the prop on the LASER is an APC 15x6, I feel about APC props like Pete feels about Harley's

YIKES, APC are about the only prop I use on Saito! I do have some XOAR, but they are on my gas engines, only because APC doesn't make a prop in the size required.

I have never been able to tell one prop from another in the air, I used Bolly's for a while now they're getting scarce so I too have resorted to Xoars and other than being a little fragile, I like them. The last two APC's I've bought have been spot on balanced as have all the Xoar's. APC may win me over yet.

I rode my big green bicycle to Church today about 18 miles each way, only it turned out be 40 miles back home. Imagine that.

It's hard to pedal those single crank pin models. I was marveling today about how smooth that engine is. When I press my knee against the air cleaner I feel nothing. Which amazes me.

Well I finally got ambitious and swapped the failing OS 52 out in my LT-40 with the Saito FG-11. It was nearly a direct swap, instead of using the mount that came with the FG, so that I didn't have to pop out T-nuts and drill new holes, I had a spare SIG mount and used that instead. The Saito isthe same width as the OS, though the mounting holes were slightly different so couldn't use the same mount. That and had to move the throttle cable down a bit. Got a 300cc tank, a dual output Life that I used in the T-clips with this engine, and some foam, it fits nice and snug just slightly ahead of CG, and put the ignition module right under the tank and battery. The Optikill is right on the cg. After everything was in place I stuck it on the Vanessa rig and no additional weight was needed, balance was right around 3 and 3/4", most rearward BP is 4 1/4", so right where I want it.

I flew the Clips on a 13 x 8 APC, but that size is just a hair too large for the LT-40 so stuck a 12 x 6 APC on it. Took it to my bench and got it all trimmed out, tuned and runs really good. I didn't have my tach, but its right around 9K RPM at WOT. Have really good throttle transition, and can go vertical all day. Still running 16:1 fuel mix, so it got a little messy, but next gallon will be at the 20:1 ratio now that I am satisfied with the lubrication, and the engine is upright instead of inverted like it was in the clips.I ran extra oil just to make sure it got into the crankcase.

I should get 40-50 minutes per tank, and hopefully with the larger prop, a bit better performance, maybe even longer hang times. I love how this little engine runs and so happy that it didn't break when the Clips took a dive.

That's cause it was'nt running and it's hard to tell the difference..just kidding.My dislike of harleys coincides with the last ten years and the rise of the so called fashionista half baked new wave of pretend outlaw bikies.They like sitting at traffic lights wearing their brand new ww2 german army lookalike black open face helmets and a mask over the rest of their face,usually a skull or batman like device while staring down the car drivers and revving their bikes.Made me feel ashamed to be a motorcyclist,in fact i felt like getting off the duke and kicking them off theirs.Rant over,now if church is eighteen miles one way and forty the other i'd invest in a good quality gps alzheimers you know...

Apc props are noticeably better than most props if you fly them back to back and can't be beat for the money i reckon.When test flying a new taildragger i always go for a mas classic.On the test flight for the midget mustang and 115 i powered up too much towards the end of the takeoff run and sawed half the length of the white tips off as it nosed over.Turned a mas classic 15x8 into a 14x8 and it still flew well.That would have splintered the ends off my usual apc.

Stoney that's a nice old fa120 probably outlast you.I see you ride a nice bmw k100 AND your from germany tsk tsk tsk..not doing a dave with his harley and being all patriotic are we? no imagination you guys.Ducati's are like italian women..smokin!..specially afterwards.
