Glowgeek, I'm sorry I didn't get to what I was thinking in my 91 manifold post. I have contractors coming tomorrow, and with knowing the contractors I have had here in the past all I can think about is "will I be happy tomorrow or not".

so let me get to my point,
you said the FA 82 and 91 used the same carb (post #39964 ),, so the question is, does the 91's manifold have the same ID as the 82's manifold, or is it the same ID as the 100's manifold ?,
if the 91's manifold does have the same ID as the 82's manifold then the new question is> without shortening both manifolds, will the 91 manifold with it's smaller ID, be more beneficial on the 82 engine with the 100's Carb than the 100's manifold will be ??

it's a question that will only be answered by testing, I have to order some covering and a couple on/off switches, so I will buy a 91 manifold, but it may be a month before I can test my self

Jim

it'll be interesting to see the results from your 82 testing. Do you have a less restrictive muffler to compliment a larger carb?

It arrived and I figured out the best mounting for the FG-30. The tank bracket is 3 1/2" and was in the way of the carb linkage, so moved it to the other side. I also got a somewhat universal bracket for larger engines, but the opening is too low for the FG-30 but not a problem, I can bolt plywood to it and make an adapter to fit the mount and clear the carb.

Well, image loading issues again

I wonder, will a 15x7 3 blade work for this engine?

yes I have the 100's muffler, it's noticeably larger, and I have the APC 13x7, 8, 9 and 10 to test

Nice. Do the 9 and 10 pitch props have the same blade shape as the 7 and 8?

So why is it images are corrupted when using URL like I have been doing for years without issue?
I now have to save them locally then upload them.

the 10 has a wider cord than the 7 and 8,

but I can't find the 9 right now, I have things all boxed up right now, so the stuff will not be in the way of the contractors tomorrow

you know I used to be able to do that all the time in all the forums, just right click on a photo and click on "copy URL" and then past it,,, then one day my computer would not let me do it any more, and never since

dang, I forgot,,, today I can right click and copy "Image address", and post that

Dave i know you were trying to be considerate by posting the fa125 and 115 mufflers together in a small space at top left hand corner, but once i saw it the image stuck in my mind.A fat ugly fa125 muffler laid right next to an fa115 part, next thing you know i'll be down 500rpm on the fa115...give me a break!!

Yeah, I don't know whats up with the 115 and 125 image, I know it's my own image but I did something wrong while uploading/saving it, by getting rid of the 115 I can't take that picture again. When I do a Google search lots of my own pictures come up, if I don't enlarge them before right clicking and then saving them they end up as thumb nails.

Glowgeek,
Did the burrette tube and muffler make it yet? I sent it out in a triangular shaped cardboard box about 18 inches long and 3 inches each side. Should have made it by now unless I sent it to someone else here????

Hasn't shown up yet, maybe today? Sometimes the mail lady waits to deliver packages to my house, especially if it has recently rained. My lane is 1/8 mile of ruts this time of year.
