Hmm nice
Well, I finally got around to running up the first FG-30. Pumped fuel right from the start, then it fired up with the electric starter. I have about 40 minutes on it, used 7 ounces of fuel or so. Idled down to 1300 for a brief bit, but holds steady at 1800. Peaked at 8700 on an APC 16x8. I ran it for about 20 minutes @ 4K RPM, then started revving it up and checking transitions, so far so good.
160 pounds of batteries to hold the stand steady.

Thanks, now have to go clean up the mess it made and rearrange the board to get it out of the oil spray. I also need to find a better way to secure the ignition module. It vibrated out even though it was pretty snug against the tank. To make sure enough oil was getting where it needed to, I pulled the rocker covers off and verified they were wet. They had oil not as much that would make me comfortable, BUT, the oil it much heavier than what is in glow fuel, and appears to be doing it's job. Also checked valve clearance. If these are anything like the FG-11, it will take hours of flying before they start to break in. Can't really go by gallons since I think I have yet to get a gallon through the FG-11, and with nearly an hour run on the FG-30 it used about 5-6 ounces of fuel.
A pair of these will have no problem flying the B-25, lots of thrust.

has any heard this? today is the first time I have heard it, I never read about it ether??, "you can not use analog servos with digital servos on your plane, because the analog servos can receive feedback from the digital servos when the digital servos send feedback to the receiver" ????
I understand what they are telling me, like how a digital servo feeds back to a gyro, I just have not seen it or read about it happening until today,, I always used an analog servo on the throttles of my helis with 4 digitals on the cyclic & collective and tail and never had a problem
so I am just thinking this problem comes with the more expensive/ higher tech receivers that take advantage of this feedback from the digital servos
what's the skinny guys ????

Hmm maybe that is why the Futaba 3010 servos chatter when I also have MPI digitals on the tail. Oh, no, that wasn't it, bad Y harness was the issue. The only time something like this could happen is if they are on the same buss. A powerbox and the like use a shared buss to send the signals to the servos so mixing servos on the same channel can cause issues.

yes that is a sweet little engine and it just sips fuel.
you know my VQ P-40 is not covered in shrink covering, it's covered in giant printed sticker, I would love to buy a gasser 4 St for it that used 6% oil, but there is no monster available now on the market

but the guy that had the problem had the problem on the throttle "analog" servo, all other servos were digital, that would be 2 channels ??
edit, he said another flyer in my club told him what his problem was, and once he changed the throttle servo to a digital the problem was gone, he also said some time later he saw another pilot that had the same problem.
just too add, on my World Models P-40 I have digitals on the ailerons, and an analog for the retracts, and all 3 run threw a 4 port X-Buss cable,,, so no problem cause I use 2 channels,,, LOL maybe I should have said "no problem yet" LOL

Jim, I've not had problems using analog and digital servos on the same receiver. Chattering/Centering issues have always been related to a weak battery, bad cable, bad servo or a binding control surface. I don't run XBUSS however.

ps if they do any fishing it's probably via a roof mounted bazooka that fires 500yds of 50 pound line and a pound sinker which knocks all the fish out on impact with the water...hooks and bait? meh

She managed to stab the web between my thumb and forefinger, nothing came of it. Just bled a lot.
I did this in early May at Lake of the Ozarks, it felt like I was catching a whale but it was a lowly catfish. Still fun though.

I use a variety of servos in my planes.
Now I have noticed that the analog servos don’t like a lot of voltage and the digital servos like more then you can supply. But with the advent of all these LiFe batteries I believe the old analog service can’t handle that extra .6 V vary while. Also servo chatter can be caused on two different fields one the servo is super sensitive and is always centering or two the servo was a real piece of crap and doesn’t center very well and chatters. But what you have brought up I have never heard before and I use that combination all the time. Also I guess we shell keep an ear out to here what the new radio glitch problem is for why my plane crashed.

Also if it was a problem wouldn’t the radio people be saying something. Like JR is telling us you can use the analog servos right along with the digital servos in their systems XBuss or just straight receiver

I have had all kinds of weird issues. On one plane I had the ailerons cycle, when I move the stick both would go up and down repeatedly and slowly stop, swap the connections on the Y and it would stop, sometimes it is one servo, sometimes both. Other times one servo would just funk out and do crazy things. It always turned out to be the Y harness. I make my own now and haven't had the return of the funk. I have also ran across low voltage servos, had a 5 cell NiMh on a plane I picked up at a swap meet, and those servos would chatter like mad. Put a 4 cell on and they were fine. Never did fly that plane, it is a lead sled, so tail heavy that it has a half pound of lead in the nose and that is with an OS 70 mounted.
I am not an outdoor person, when I was 11 I got a really bad sunburn and had sun poisoning, ever since then I am extremely sensitive to to much sun, so I limit my outdoor activity and use a LOT of sunscreen. Because of it I miss out on a lot of fun things, like fishing, boating, swimming. I have a canopy in my trailer for going to the flying field and is the first thing that goes up so I can limit the amount of time out in the sun when flying. After being in the sun when doing yard work, I feel like I ran a marathon, so I envy those who can be outside all day.

Yup not so much the sun for me but the heat
had two bouts with heat stroke here, when it gets above 80 I start to slow down and crash planes.
I put 5 in the dirt one year at Sig. So when it gets into the 60’s I am all about flying
