Gary, thanks. Walla Walla is where we're headed, probably not till next spring. Hopefully the house will sell by then. I'd like to meet up in person with many of you here. My wife has always wanted to spend some time down under so maybe one day I'll fly at Pete's field.

Lonnie quite a few people in the land of down under have a monty python style sense of humour, maybe because we watch a lot of english comedy tv from way back.
So show your wife (respectfully sometimes known as the handbrake down under) this old irish joke. You have a place in washington called walla walla? you'll fit right in down under, just up the road is a place called muckinbudin and a suburb here in perth is called innaloo...yes, really

There hasn't been any castor used at my house for at least 12 years, maybe 15. My camera is a Nikon B 500, my phone is strictly a talker and that rarely. When I was 14 my grandfather Hobbs called me an independent *****hole because I loaded a Farmall Super A engine block into a 50 Dodge panel truck by myself. I was proud of myself that I could lift it and I didn't drop it. I never was much on asking for help, he didn't like that. Maybe he was on to something.
Y'all will just have to continue lovin me as I am.

Here in Michigan we have names like Mesick, Kissime, Onaway, Hell, Paradise, Bad Axe, Jugville, Temperance, Hogs Hollow. Kalamazoo, Christmas, and... ...Wawa.

We got a Little Axe, Broken Bow, Broken Arrow, Corn, Calumet, and assorted Native American names like Muskogee, Chickasaw, Chickasha, Eufala, Tonkawa, and my favorite Gotebo just to name a few. Its a blast when you get a new reporter at one of the TV stations, they don't come close to pronouncing anything right!

Yep 113 c.in. the light weight, no wheel weights, was 2,400 lbs. the engine was a stressed member. Ours had the wheel rear wheels 75% full of calcium chloride solution. The larger tractors were 90% full. The Super A was a high revver at 1,540 rpm no load. When I brought the block back home it had M&W jet black sleeves in it .125" over sized.Those engine had no water pumps, convection only.
I have the CH Ignition mounted on the 180, now I need a chance to run it, The covering on the Rascal 110 does not need tightened up, at lest not yet. Do I dare side mount it, I hate inverted engines. I going out to find a suitable engine mount now.

Yes sir. They were very popular around here for pulling single bottom plows, with that 20 or so horsepower. That engine block was actually very light, even for a 14 year old scamp
My Rascal 110 has had a 180 and now a 150 in it, both mounted inverted. Next engine will be the 120 fathead.

Sig Rascal, seems to less be affection around here than say for a Sig LT-40 and probably for good reasons. My first trainer was an LT-40, great flyer, wish I still had it. As it is, without lying, i have never crashed a balsa plane by my hand. The LT-40 went down due to avionics, as has all my other balsa models that met a similar fate. Oops, not true, I killed an SSE by my hand. Lol

I broke my LT-40 3 times over the past 8 years since I built it. The covering is a little worn, but man, does that plane fly good. The only thing that I can't quite figure out is that it has to be trimmed every time I fly it. Either needs elevator trim, or rudder trim as it will either climb, dive, or roll hands off. With the almost flat wing and tail dragging configuration it does not fly like a trainer, and it does not self correct like a trainer, so I don't use it as a trainer. I can almost fly inverted hands off, but needs elevator corrections to remain level or it noses down. If I could over prop it for thrust I might get it to stand on it's tail. If I new what prop the FG-11 would use to give more thrust like that, I would give it a try.

A 14 x 4 is pop sickle stick prop, it belongs in my wood burner.
Yeah, I have to go with inverted even though I don't care for it. It will be CH ignition equipped so it should be fine inverted.
