Dave,

I think that it was me you owe a .65
Maybe I am wishful thinking

Anyhooo, if you have an early .65 to sell or swap
please let me know. I have been looking for one.

Not in a million years.

Jim, I still owe you the Happy Harry Handy Dandy Saito small/mid block timing tool. Yesterday I started to rebuild a couple of Saito 120's. The best looking block I have simply says 120, none of cylinders I have will fit.

My little brother Ed, should be 74 years old today, he passed away eight years ago sitting in a recliner and had been drinking Coors for years one after the other without eating. He died weighing 96 pounds, about half of his, when healthy 185. He would dearly love to talk Saito with us if alive. He built a replica McClaren M-8 with a 600+ hp Chevy 350/358. It had a Corvair drive train facing forward and upside down so it would not go backward in the forward gears.

Ed sitting on the McClaren and an unfinished Cobra in the background. At his house in Aurora, Colo.

Ed at his real job. He got sent all over the north west to repair heavy equipment.

My sympathy and condoleances. Must have been very hard to see a sibling go out like that...

It must be very hard to lose a sibling when you know it might have been avoidable. Alcoholism is a heartbreaking disease.

Thankyou, it went on for years, we pleaded, we loved him, we warned him, we ignored him, our hearts ached for him, nothing worked. That HD 31 he's standing on weighed 70 tons, had a Cummins KT 1150 with 425 hp. It was considered to be very reliable because the drive train had the same components as the HD 41 which was 1710 V-12 powered.

We were all four gearheads nearly from birth so my Saito tinkering comes naturally.

I'm going to call Captain Crunch and wake him up. If CC is OK with it, I may try to trade the Saito 182 for a Saito 100-T, even for one needing some freshening up.

My youngest is the biggest gearhead. His pride and joy is a red square body GMC pickup named Clifford. He even has a stuff red Clifford toy on the front seat and tag is CLIF4RD.

Nah! He would want something with a bit more class. Rumor has it this is powered by a Saito twin!

That is a 1941, mine at age 17 was quite similar but one year older. A 1940 Chevy coupe.

Will hold out for the new Suburban

Uninformed rumors to the contrary, I still like cars. Bad analogies just don't fit.

Dave, I'm sorry about your brother. I know what it's like to loose a brother. my brother died way back in 73, all these years and today I miss him more than I did back then. he took my mother's car one night to give a friend a ride home, he got into the snow and hit a tree. he was my older brother, he was only 17.

your brother's car must have really flew !!

Gary, still looking for the CH ignition SyncroSpark module. I know it's here somewhere.

Do you have any use for these two older ones?

Would any of you happen to have a 150 cylinder, I have enough parts to make a 150 GK if I had a cylinder. If the cylinder is not black I can make it so. Willing to pay a fair price. Thanks, Dave

Out of stock everywhere, including my stock. Pretty expensive new, if you could find one. Maybe run an ad on the classies?

Swap meets are a good place to find cheap Saitos. Pedro blew my mind telling me how little he pays for used engines at swap meets.

The Texas swap meets are a great source of engines for little money. It seems the glow engines I am interested in have no interest to anyone else. I have two swap meets coming up, one in Jan. and one in Feb. My wife and I will be going for sure.
