question on using a pump on a FA-82a. When flying 3D with a Fliton Inspire 60 it is recommended to fly with the tank at CG. I am a little apprehensive about flying with muffler pressure only. Any recommendations on this and the type of pump to use? I read this article http://saito-engines.info/body_pumps.html and it does mention the Perry VP-20, but only when used behind the firewall.

Cline or Iron Bay regulator would be your best bet.

They last better with a fuel with a little castor oil. Cool Power is all synthetic oil.

I'd like to get something straightened out here . . . .
Cool Power fuel does have low high and multi viscosity variations.
The Omega four stroke is the one with the 50/50 blend of synthetic-castor. Good luck finding a good price on it though.

The only Omega fuel that is 50/50 Syn/Castor is their "specialty" 4-stroke. Most others are 70%/30% syn/castor. Just thought I'd clarify that, since most shops I've ever seen simply stock the standard aeroblend. Other specialty blends are a different ratio...

I have a new Saito 220 and I'm interested in finding a good 3D airframe for this engine. Who has experience with this engine and what airplane would be a good match? I was disapointed to find that slimline does not make a pitts muffler for the 220 and does not have any intention of producing one. What the H@)) are they thinking? So has anyone found a suitable muffler as well?

Hi all [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]...I got me a new 4cycle FA- 125a. It’s a little over kill for my twist 60. I’m looking for a velocity stack to keep the fuel in and a place put an air filter. To keep the dirt and grass out of the motor However just an air filter would make me happy

You will need a O-ring from the hardware store to seal between the intake stack and the carburetor

Item coming soon. Due Early September, 2007[&o] is there a opt for just an air filter without the Intake Velocity Stack . I have heard the ice-ing of the carb can happen with an Intake Velocity Stack lol the air filter body will work as an Intake Velocity Stack as it is.

i put a velocity stack on my 1.00. i tried several auto parts stores, looking for viton o rings in metric sizes. advanced auto parts had them. 8mm i.d., 12mm o.d., 2mm thick. it fits snug between the two pcs. make sure it stays centered as you squeeze it into place. lube w/a little oil (dextron for engine ARO). what 3D prop is going to fit on that a/c w/that engine? i have a .40 twist, os 46ax 12x4 (doesn't hover), would like to go w/a .72 saito, 14x4 is too big for the landing gear.
