I should have explained. I didnt need the o-ring. Just curious what it was for. The carb on both engines are perfect and in great shape. Im pretty much speculating that its used on someplace else, not on this engine. Either way, my engines are good to go now.

Hi blw, I juist discouvered "club SAITO" and have submitted several posts here but I don't remember ever being signed up as a member and given a number. I just bought my first Saito, a big beautiful 180, and am in the process of putting it in a Great Planes Giant Super Sporster. Can I be part of the club? Ron

I need your opinion regarding glow fuel. I have a Saito 100 in an Astro Hog and a Saito 91 in a Four Star 60. I like the engines' power and reliability I have read the postings by various members regarding fuel's nitro content, oil, and castor oil. I have used Power Master 20/20, Cool Power Four Cycle 15%, and Cool Power High Performance Heli 30%. Based on my most recent experiences, I plan to continue to use the Heli 30% because I did notice a difference in the engine's performance and power as compared to the other fuels. My question is should I put any castor oil in the Heli fuel? If so, how much per gallon? The reason I ask is that the Cool Power Four Stroke fuel contains a combination of synthetic oil and castor oil while the Heli fuel does not contain castor oil. I am not trying resurrect a debate on fuel, but just want your opinion on the castor oil content. Thank you in advance for your reply.

I would put in a couple of ounces of Castor. One of the things that I don't like about heli fuel is the very high oil content and lack of Castor. Some is already 22% oil, and when you add castor it bumps it to 24 or 25%. I don't like the cost either. Since most of my planes are over-powered anyway, I find 15% to work fine.

blm, Thanks. 564 is a good number. Happy to be on the list. There is sure a lot of good information available here (all you gotta' do is fine it :-) ) Yesterday I started reading at page 1. By the end of the day I think I had made it to about page 40. Found out there is an answer to just about anything you'd ever want to know about Saito engines - and a lot more to boot. I've been enjoying myself. Ron

I just purchased a Saito 180 AAC 00 for my Seagull Models Super Star anybody recomend a good propeller for this combo for aerobatics 3-D? The engine has a suggested prop range of course but just wonted to know if anybody had a great idea from previous experience. I like APC propellers they seem to ballance better. I am also looking at putting a hyde mount on this engine as well. I have one installed on my Hangar 9 Spitfire with a Saito 100 and it works great. Have a great week! thanks for any suggestions

A really huge glow two-stroke (3.00?) might need fuel line larger than medium, but I even doubt that. Yeah, I know, some folks swear by large fuel line, but I think that all they did to get better results was to solve an existing problem that they had (leak) with the medium fuel line. Medium fuel line (as I know you know) can flow a LOT of fuel.

Hi, I too just purchased an 180 and was just about to post a prop question. The "book" list the prop range from 14X13.5 (for aerobatics) to 18X6 (for scale). I still need to break this engine in. Is any prop in that range OK for a break-in prop or is one size better than another??

Hey guys, this may be a stupid question but here it goes. I have a Saito 72 I want to use a spinner prop nut on, problem is it doesnt tighten all the way down I have a gap what do you do about this? Do you cut the shaft or what I am at a loss here. Thanks.

My FA 100 prop nut has a groove that the lock nut fits into. This makes me feel uncomfortable using a nut and lock nut without this? This is one reason I've never looked further into a spinner and it is on a .60 Ultra Stick with the engine fully exposed. so I didnt figure a spinner would help the looks or performance. I dont think anyone at my airfeild with a stick uses a spinner or spinner nut.
Anyone have a pic of their Sticks with a spinner or spinner nut on it?

Have you tried the Omega 25% has 30% Castor already in it. Just wish they had a 30% instead of 40%

I have one for an OS 46 AX that I use on a Goldberg Hot Stik. This is a 2S, so a locknut isn't required. For a 4S, you can buy a thin nut that acts as a locking nut behind the spinner nut.
The OS 46 AX is off right the plane right now. The thin brass nut is from a Saito 100, and is not for the OS. But, you can probably get the idea.
