yes,i did check to see if the inlet tubes between A and B are the same and they are.The only difference between models in this area are the crankcase,cam cover etc,back cover and carburettor part numbers,cylinders are also same part number.As the back cover dimesions between both for the internal fitment side are the same it would suggest the differing part number for the carbs may be due to a difference in the width and distance from carb centreline of the carb mounting attachment among possible other internal differences between carbs i'm not aware of.
Maybe I'm just fussy.

Hi again, with regards to a puller for the drive washer, I have just acquired a you beaut device for $35.00 from the local tool place (Coles Tools) that will pull the drive washers off the small crank Saitos and my YS 53 and 63, you local Allied Bearings place also has small 3 jawed pullers for around $60.00 that are almost as good

That has got to be the variance that accounts for different spacing. No big deal, I'll just file mine down as necessary.

Real hardware stores have a little Oring kit with various sizes in it. Pick from the selection

And some auto parts stores. Even Harbor Fright has an assortment which goes on sale occasionally.

Some even have a choice between Nitrile, Butyl, Neoprene, and Viton.

But which is best for glow and which is best for gasoline Saito use?

The most commonly available o-ring material is Nitrile which is fine for use with both alcohol/oil and gasoline/oil fuels and is suitable for use in glow/gas model engines of all types where high temperature is not a concern ie. above 120 degrees celcius.Viton being more suitable for temps to 200 degrees celcius.

i have a saito 115, 45, 50, 72,91, and a 150, run omega 15% fuel. 1000 rpm idle on the 150 with no glow heat with perfect transition. only start Saitos by back flipping them!

I have a Saito 91 that I broke the needle off, so I now need to know which way the slot in the spray bar faces. I would think that the slot needs to be pointed straight up at the intake pipe but I figured I would ask to be sure. Thank You

1x .56,2x .62,1x .72,1x .82,1x .125. My first Saito was an early .50 with brass exhaust that was fitted to a fourstar 40 that i had just built at the time somewhere around 90-92.Sold that one with the 4 star several years later and of course was still running well.They were a good combination.
