Hobbsy, Is Lynda your wife? Hope she is getting better. My Prayers are with her for a complete recovery, God willing. Take care Tom
Linda is Hobbsy's middle aged daughter who has had several recent health problems and has been forced to live with Hobbsy and his wife

I've called his home but didn't get an answer.

Hi all,

Finally getting around to ask about joining the CLUB. I have a 30, 50, 56, 72, 82, 91, 100, (2) 120 dual plug pumpers, (2) 150s. I fix engines for the guys here in Sarasota and probably have had another 50 Saitos apart. I love all my Saitos - the 50 and 91 have more hours on them than I can count. Several sets of bearings for each, but both have the original ring!

I am hereby requesting membership into your fine organization... I am the proud owner of a 125 golden knight, a 120 and a FS90TS twin. I am hoping that the membership dues are not substantial. Does the initiation ceremony involve hazing?

I am looking for some exhaust pipes for the FS90TS... anyone got something laying around?

Yes, you have to send me one Saito engine in order to be a club member in good standing. Right now, I need a good .91.

Double ought seven could stand for wins ties losses. I think I'd stick to 700 just in case.

Cherokee flyer, let the hazing begin.

Jim, here's the .30 arrangement.

Jim et al, Lynda is back in the hospital, one of her kidneys stopped working and loaded her up with uric acid causing violent convulsions and near comotose. They got here awake yesterday but she is still very weak.
Sincerely good luck dave

I've had a Saito 82A about 4 yrs. I decided to make a 82B out of it.

I bought
Back plate
Crankcase
Cam cover
Carb screw set
Cam pivot shaft
I had to steal a cam cover gasket from my Saito FG20 collection and I had to make a gasket for the back plate as Horizon doesn't have gaskets yet.

I made the back plate gasket from the cover flap of the package that the back plate came in. I cut the inside circle and slipped it over the back plate and then mounted the back plate and trimed off the outside. You need a gasket back there to keep the cam cover from rubbing on the crankshaft pin.

After getting it together I ran the engine on the test bench and it runs just as good as it did before I changed everything.
I like your sense of humour friend.Caqn we get a 100 or 125 cylinder on an 82a which already equals the old 91 in performance or am i dreaming a bit?

I've been thinking about this. The 82 already has a 100 piston. You could bolt on a 100 cylinder, shorten a 100 intake manifold and mount a 100 carb to replace the 91 carb that's already on the 82. You also should use a 91/100 muffler instead of the 65 muffler that comes on a 82.

The cylinder that comes on a 82 has the same bore as the 100 cylinder but uses 91 valves.

Using a 125 cylinder would complicate things as you would have to use the 125 piston and then what about rod length?

while retuning my 100 it ran backwards for about a minute
I had trouble shutting it down. Don't think it caused any harm
And is usually just improper tuning. Usually too rich

You didn't hurt it. It will be fine

Worst case scenario is that it would mess up the o ring where the intake manifold goes into the head but if it ran afterwards, there is no problem

Mark you showoff and ace pilot stop flying it round the field backwards or at least shell out the bucks for a nice pusher prop mate.
