Best Air trap

My Feedback: (11)
I'm using a JMP hi-flow on my Havoc. One thing I was not expecting was a lot of LARGE air bubbles from the trap for the first few minutes of running. The trap was full of fuel and I could clearly see the bubbles intermittently coming out when the engine was at high RPM. The engine (JetCentral Mammoth 250), would "pop" with most of the bubbles but also flammed out once or twice. After re-start and several minutes of running, the bubbles finally quit and the trap has worked fine since.
Just saying that with the old BVM style traps the advise was to "soak" new ones with fuel for a period of time to avoid bubbles. I didn't know you had to do that with these newer ones.

And man, that is a good looking set up!!

If there was the demand I could bring back the CAT V2, please note it would need to be in the same format however as I still have the cnc and tooling to do so?
Let me know who would want to buy them if they were back.......
Appreciate all the comments and great to know 8 years on from the first CAT they still have a great following

Marc,
YES PLEASE BRING THEM BACK. I love the fact that they are so light and always work 100%. I have them installed in helicopters, turbo-props and from 45 to 260 size turbines, plus I use the smoke versions too. The only issue I have had at times were the size of the nipples (I only use 4mm tubing), but I have always been able to work around that. I don't need the bling, telemetry or fancy mounting. Most of the time it is hidden away inside the model, so I don't need to see it ( and I don't have to because it always work). I don't like to empty it either and prefer to store my model with the CAT being full. Most of all, it weights very little.
Cheers,

Marc, which one is the V2 CAT?
The composite ones were great and I would buy one for my new jet if they were available.
The only issue I had with the composite ones was the retaining o-rings that didn’t last too long but it’s an easy fix to glue the CAT on the mount or modify it for cable ties.
I have just looked at new air trap options and the choices are either big metal ones or plastic bottles. The composite CAT fills a gap in the market.

Agree, but easily fixed as you say!
