I'm building my second turbinator, this time with split wings. The wing center section is glued to the fuselage.

It is also much easier to transport.

Oh, I haven´t got that far yet. I only have a big box with laser cut spars, a plan and a clean and empty bench this far. But my 100% Turbinator flies well with an 80 N turbine so I guess that a 125 % will do fine with something in the vicinity of 120-160 N. I am not a fan of overpowered jets.

Almost destroyed it on its first landing, too slow but, recovered it at the last second and it landed like nothing had happened 😵‍💫

All done with the repairs, left wing tip, lower center section of the wing and nose tip, also replaced the nose gear back on the strut, I will cover those parts tomorrow and may take it to the field to fly on Sunday.

Now, if I could only find the monokote box among all this mess 😩

It is literally repaired, sanded down and ready to cover but 🤷🏻‍♂️ I can’t find the monokote box 😔

What size of engines do you people usually use in your Turbinators? Myself I have been using an English made Wren 80 Jubilee of som 80 N thrust. But now I´m changing to a Kingtech K-70 with 70 N thrust to shave of some weight and minimise fuel consumption.
