I had a little incident with my Jeep yesterday that I thought I better post here just in case someone else can learn from it. I'm pretty sure the problem was caused because I had the transmitter too close to the jeep, but what happened was this, I turned on the TX, turned on the Jeep, it did its little beepy thing, and I checked steering and the servo was working properly, I moved the Jeep forward a little bit with no problem, but when I went to go into reverse all of a sudden it went Full Throttle reverse and took off. I had to chase it down and pick it up and turn the power switch off. Now, once I turned it back on everything works just exactly like it's supposed to and I haven't had any problems since. Like I said, it may have been that I had the transmitter a little too close to the jeep as it was definitely within 3 feet when I went into reverse, but it's something that I'll be watching for in the future.

As always, I'm late to the party in getting one of these... thought it would make a nice companion piece for my M3 Lee ....
Has anyone run a 3S pack in these? I tried a 6200 11.1v 100c pack and 1) it's a bit too tall(thick?) and the speed it
allows this machine to run at is alarming. Not pleasant or relaxing at all. a 5000 2s 7.4 pack is it for me..

I tried both and then went with the 3s. It definitely gives you a lot more power, the throttle becomes a little more touchy and requires a little more skill to get realistic action, but the extra power for climbing Hills and stuff is really good. I did a time trial on it and on an 1800 Mah 3s battery it ran for about 40 minutes.

I've also picked up a lot of accessories for it, like a 30 cal, the canvas top, and a 37 mm anti-tank gun to tow behind it. I tried a 50 cal but it just looks way too big, and my grandfather, who was a driver for some colonel in post-war Germany, 1947 and 1948, told me that the Jeeps they used were always armed with the 30 cal, not the 50. I thought about the trailer, but the high price scared me away. But, that shouldn't surprise you, Jerry, you know what a cheapskate I am.
