Just found my first part at banggood. The front axle for under $40? I can see myself using these in many projects. Now to search for more parts. Do you guys think there's enough interest to start a second thread where we can report parts and the places to find them? Here's the axle, and i'm not done looking. Just got a bit wound up when i saw this one and wanted to report it right away!!

OK, banggood has quite a few parts, including tires and rims, and both axles, as well as the esc, RX, steering servo, transfer case and much more.

Here's a linbnk to the parts page. I might grab a couple sets of tires and rims, just in case they go quick.

Sure, I'd be up for another parts thread. I've contacted FMS several times regarding spares & other than their initial reply, nothing but crickets.

Gary I'd be interested in a parts bash of the ROC + Dragon Jeep as well. I'm thinking about it as a project. I have two Dragon jeeps just in case.

But may just get another FMS - IF I ever get the first one!

There's a lot of videos, esp guy in Korea crawling with these jeeps. They are pretty capable out of the box. One guy puts lead weights in the front tires for more grip.

Be great to get axles, tires and rims for the project jeeps!

I see FMS doesn't even list these any longer...

The Willys has disappeared from their website and I don't see any pics of it on their FB page. I wonder if Jeep is suing them. Jeep has been known to do that which is why there is a lack of actual Jeep type vehicles in the hobby.

Hey Bob, I also have two dragon Jeep kits that I'd like to convert and I also bought the Tamiya Bruiser 1/10 scale pickup truck. A friend of mine on another forum has already blazed Trail on this so I know the frame has to be lengthened by about 55mm and the tires that came with the pickup are too wide and won't work, so I plan to use the tires I just ordered for the ROC Jeep. I'll also have to get a 12 mm adapter kit for the Bruiser axles but then I should be good to go. The dragon jeep will end up with a fairly solid steel frame under it, and a proper leaf spring suspension.

As for them being sued, there's a guy on another forum who says that's exactly what's happening, but I have my doubts. It's been my experience that when it comes to stuff like copyright infringement the Chinese just laugh at lawsuits. I also wonder if banggood would still be taking pre-orders if ROC is being sued.

In fact, I'm pretty sure the standard Chinese response to all copyright lawsuits is, Gun Kai!! Yeah, Google that one.

Am impressed with its ability to go places our D90 gets stuck; it can climb over rocks & berms with ease. This is one great little crawler! The MB takes to water like a duck - had it deep enough at one point while running where water was over the hood. The meandering pond in our compound gets drained annually this time of year so I have a 700m crawler course just outside my door for the next several weeks.

I'm beginning to think those of us who pre-preordered from FMS - who have not received these yet - may be S.O.L. If there is a lawsuit of some kind then FMS would definitely stop sales (which apparently they have done). I emailed them for status and got nothing <yet>. The tracking number is typical USPS gibberish - April 23- May 19 Processed through facility, Guangzhou, China. Nearly a month of "process through facility"? Hmm...sounds like if the item even exists it isn't moving though any facility. 2 months so far and FMS has erased all evidence on their site that it even existed. At least I paid via PAYPAL.

Wondering if ordering from Banggood will be any better? Received any of those parts yet Gary?

Ever hopeful but becoming more frustrated...

I have 3 different shipments stuck in the system and none from FMS. All of them have been that way for over a month. Shipments of goods are stuck all over the world. One of mine made it to New Jersey from China and hasn't moved from NJ in 3 weeks.

My jeep did the same thing with tracking, said it's been processed in China, and that just means it's on the boat. As soon as it hits the U.S. tracking will change. As for the one in N.J., that's sitting there waiting for customs to clear it. I think you'll both get your jeep. As for future orders, all FMS has to do is work out the licensing agreement and pay the fee and they'll be back in business.

Glad to hear that Gary. Mine is overdue as well but I'm just chillin' for now. Did you get yours through FMS or BangGood? Just curious.

I got mine through FMS. There is one place that still has them, I think it's called Firefox toys, but they want $400. If anybody is interested, and willing to pay that outrageous price, I'll post a link. Apparently there are only about 50 of them available so I think they'll go quickly. But even if I didn't already have one, I don't think I'd be willing to pay an extra $100.

Gary that Firefox price is before tax and shipping. It could be more like $140 over the FMS price. I think I'll let someone else pay that much.

I ordered tires from them, they took my money and the page said "in stock", a week later I get an email saying they're not in stock, but they think they can ship in a couple of weeks. I think I've been banged good. Again. If they don't ship within two weeks I'll ask for a refund and hope they give me an excuse to open a paypal dispute. They hate that.

I tried to edit the original post where I provided the link to banggood's parts page, but for some reason I'm not allowed to do that. I would like to edit and add a warning that banggood may not actually have the parts, but they'll take your money in the hopes they can get them soon enough to avoid problems. I think in the future whenever I post something like that I'll be sure to stress that buyer should beware!! Some of these places can be somewhat frustrating, to say the least.

Can't blame you, I wouldn't spend that much, either. I'm still foolishly hoping I'll get the tires to use in the Dragon conversion. And by the way, the link to the parts page at firefox toys takes you to the banggood page, firefox doesn't actually have any parts.

For those interested in switching out the shocks, again any 80mm adjustable shock will fit. Here's the FMS replacement part for reference.

Does Taobao sell to the US? And are we sure they have them in stock? Banggood said they had them in stock and took my money but a week later changed their mind and said it will now be two weeks. I don't mind spending the money, I just don't like giving out free loans.
