Warbirdcharly it’s great to see someone else working on a 1/4 scale Boomer.

What retracts are you using on this one?

Do you know what your wing panel as pictured above weighs?

Cheers!

Mick

Hi Mick,
the Retracts are a mixture from selfmade legs and airpressure german mechanic.
the weight of the wing panels is 1160 gr and 1150 gr with two servos each. in this stadium.
greetings
Charly

Thanks Charly!

My composite wing panel ( 1/4 scale ) weighs 1083 grams as pictured. It is painted in the mold but still needs an aileron, some stiffening of the flap and servos.

I guess our weights are reasonably similar.

It will be folliage green with white wing leading edges and white tail. Maybe this one or one similar.

I am not happy with the colour of this first panel, I need to make it darker.
I didn’t do the white leading edge in the mold so I can fill and sand the leading edge joint before applying the white.
I am not currently working on this project but should get back to it either late this year or early next year.
Cheers!
Mick
