Fantastic! She is looking great Patti and Richard! I wish I had more time to be able to get stuck into my 1/6 scale Boomer. I just don't have the time these days. Can't wait until I retire!! :D

RE: CAC Boomerang Project

Hi guys, have finally had a chance to get some primer onto Don. I have now sprayed 3 coats, with sanding and etching in between. I think he has come up not too bad. I mainly concentrated on the...

RE: CAC Boomerang Project

Patti/Richard,

Here is the first test model from the ZPrinter 310. I am quite pleased with the level of detail it has achieved. The printer works by creating 0.1mm layers of a plaster-like...

RE: CAC Boomerang Project

Patti,

We are using the ZPrinter 310. The build box is 203mm x 254mm x 203mm. But it is possible to create larger objects from multiple parts, and glueing them together. Also, it is possible...

Patti,

I am very intrigued by the ZBrush software. I have never seen it before, and as soon as I saw your post I got right on to their website and began watching the many videos there. It...

RE: CAC Boomerang Project

Yes, Bundy, very nice work on the flame tamer exhaust. Have you used a straight tube, or tapered like the full size? How did you keep everything in place while soldering? Did you make a jig?

RE: CAC Boomerang Project

Richard,

It would be a shame to start over! John had the same problem with his cowl, as the Hesselhurst plans are also too deep in the cowl area. But John was able to get the correct opening...

RE: CAC Boomerang Project

Richard,

I would say that Stewart Wilson is correct, however it would probably be NACA 2206 not NACA 2206.1. The Wirraway used NACA 2215 at the root and NACA 2209 at the tip. Similarly, the...
