RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I was just curious what RPM you guys might be getting with a MAS 14x7 three blade on 15% Omega for a Saito 100? Thanks!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

What size tank do they recommend to be used with the 325 radial? What type of flight time is anyone getting with that respective tank? Thanks!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Anyone have any feedback yet on the Saito 115. I saw one at the hobby shop last weekend and haven't see any posts on it lately. I am getting ready to do the engine selection on a 9-10 lb Spit and...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

My needle settings for the 100 are virtually the same too and the idle is very nice on this engine. I was peaking around 9500 with an APC 14x8 on 15% Omega after a gallon through the engine. I...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Ed,

What three blade do you recommend for a Saito 100. I picked up a MA 13x8 but also saw where a few people posted about using the MA & Graupner 14x7 3 bladed props. I am planning to put a...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Believe me I know. Notice how close the HS needle is to the muffler. It got hot down there but I only got one knuckle too close. The breather also threw out the ocassional bit of hot oil. You...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Maybe this picture will help you see how thick the ring is compared to the stock muffler for the 82. You also have to use an extension that is the next size larger which is less restrictive. I...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Not yet but I will say the raised ring on this muffler tip is deeper than I have seen on any other muffler. If you look close in the photo, I only had only tie wrap on it for the test and I...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Here is my setup for the Saito 82 with another Turboheader made for the 82, Saito 90 degree header, and exhaust extension going into my new GP Reactor.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Well Jim my new Saito 100 and Turboheader are keepers [sm=thumbs_up.gif]. I finished running the first gallon through as I took these numbers today. All the comments about it being a shaker are...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Hobbsy,

Have you taken any numbers after you added that 90 degree adapter to see if there is any difference in performance especially since there is already a 90 degree turn in the TurboHeader...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Anyone know the website or company that was selling 90 degree headers that would fit the Saitos. I remember looking at it once but can't remember it now and Horizon has them on backorder and I would...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Hobbys,

Thanks for the detailed response. I have a new Saito 1.00 that I need to break in too and I just wanted to revisit the process. No problems so far but it is always good to see what...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

What routine is everyone using to break in their Saito's? I read both the Saito notes and the manual. The manual just says not to run it over a certain RPM for the first 10 minutes but doesn't...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I have decided that I am going to put my old 40 size trainer on floats but am trying to decide which engine to use. What do you guys think a 65, 72, or 82? I still want to be able to swap back and...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Anyone know the weight of the Saito 180 muffler or the AUW of both. The engine alone weighs 31 oz but I am trying to do some calculations and don't have the muffler weight. Thanks!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Thanks TC. That makes perfect sense. I was thinking a 14x6 two blade originally so 13x7 sounds like a good place to start and scratchonly reinforces that thought, albeit with an Enya :). Nice to...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Yep that helps a lot. I just need to figure out which pitch is best for the 91 in a pattern plane. Any recommendations? Thanks!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I am looking for a little help with prop selection for a Saito 91. I recently finished a 60 size Kaos (old tower kit version) with trike gear. The plane weighs 7 lbs even and much to my dismay a 14...
