RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Not meaning to brag or anything, (well maybe a little), I just picked up a beautiful new 60 size Super Sportster with a new FA-91GK mounted on it. Never flown or run. The sad part is the man who...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Thanks for the info. I'll pick up both a 17X8 and 18X8 and try them both. I'm must agree about the 6-10 prop, it seems to be a 10 when you need a 6, and a 6 when you need a 10. If it hadn,t already...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I am running a 18X6-10 prop on a Saito 1.80 and it seems to be overloading the engine. I'm getting around 6800 -7K RPM with this prop but it just sounds like it's overloading the engine.

Any...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Could that be causing all the problems. I've never heard of anyone having this much problem out of a Saito.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Well, run across another 18-8 prop and was lucky I had two nuts in my garage that I could use temporarily until I get the correct nuts. Started the 1.80 again, but it wouldn't do anything past half...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Well, that’s it, I'm officially disgusted. Put a 18 X 8 prop on my Saito 1.80 today, got it started and was running really rich, bought it back to idle so I could get around it to set the high...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

No, actually I didn't. I pulled the cowl off to check my glow plug which is when I found my glow battery was weak. I left the cowl off so it should be easy to check the fuel lines and screws though....

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I had one start on me when I put the glow igniter on. Mine was an O.S. 46AX, I had just returned home from flying and realized that I had not run that one engine dry. It was setting on my front porch...
